On September 16th, 2011, Star Mall Shenyang Plaza carried out a high-level business forum entitled “New Tiexi, New Commercial Circle New Development” with the participation of the Tiexi Government, Star Mall Group CEO, IKEA Shenyang Store Manager, Robbinz Department Store Project Manager, Gome Electrical Appliance North General Manager, McDonald’s Senior Development Director, Huayi Brothers Cinema National Marketing Director, Auchan Hypermarket Vice Expansion Director and Mothercare General Manager.

During the conference our esteemed guests got a chance to share their views on the rapid economic development of Tiexi district, Beier Road area, transformation of Beier Road area from an “old industrial” area into the New Commercial Circle.

Star Mall and IKEA, as the developer and retailer who pioneered in the initiation and transformation of Beier Road commercial district have shared their views on current economic situation and future development plans. IKEA and Star Mall already have successful projects all over the world and now they bring their success to be shared with Shenyang, Tiexi District.

Last year Star Mall has successfully launched 3 Retailers’ Nights in Shanghai which brought an excellent opportunity to share ideas, create new networks, discuss business projects and give a start to new ones.

On March 24 Star Mall Group has gathered famous retailers such as Robbinz Department Store, South Beauty, Watson’s, Nike, Haagen-Dazs, Silk&Cashmere for the Retailers Networking Night in Beijing. Among guests there was famous Turkish fashion brand Silk&Cashmere who has just entered China’s market.

During the event Sina Commercial Real Estate have learned that Star Mall Group have entered China’s market with its first project – Star Mall Shenyang Plaza. Construction area of the project is 320,000 sqm which provides space for shopping, entertainment, Leisure, F&B, and other activities. Total investment in the project calculates for 200 milliom USD. Project is scheduled to be opened in November 2011.

Representatives from Star Mall Group announced: “To date such brands as Robbinz Department Store, Hypermarket Auchan, Huayi Brothers Cinema, Gome, H&M, Bestseller and other brands have already signed leasing contract with Star Mall. Occupancy rate at the moment is over 60%. It is expected to finalize leasing works for the project by September and give tenants 2 month for the decoration works”.
